In Class 10-7-10

In class today we went over "Population Studies" again because some people weren't in class yesterday, and the notes were really important so we did a quick overview of what we went over.
Pull Factor: A positive factor that would make someone want to come to a country.
Examples: Good government, good health care, good weather, political/religious freedom, rights.

Push Factor: A negative factor that would make someone want to leave their country and come to another.
Examples: Bad health care, not a safe environment, bad government, bad weather.

The population pyramid is a graph, one side is males and the other side is females. Its a two sided bar graph the male side bar graphs are right to left and female side bar graphs are left to right and in the middle is ages of people. The population pyramid shows distribution of people of various ages.

Baby Boom: any period marked by a greatly increased birth rate.

Germany has the opposite of baby boom. because they're birth rate is at a low.
